This is just like the RIM/NTP "BlackBerry" issue. It will result in Verizon being paid a settlement (probably less than the jury award in the initial case, though still substantial) and it will hurt Vonage in terms of new customer sign-ups, however, Vonage will be ok. They are not cash-poor nor have the appeals even begun yet.
For the speculative of mind, now (or soon) might actually be a good time to pick up some Vonage stock and hold it.
