  • My Recent Spending Spree

Seems like I have been on a spender bender lately. I just spent $600 on new snow tires for my van. I was having trouble getting around on my all weather tires. And, I just don't like sliding around so I thought that was a worthy expense. The bill just came due for my daughter's new piano. That was $2K. And, we decided to treat our sons and take them to an NBA game that has their favorite players. One son likes the star of one team and the other son likes the star on that team. So happens those teams are playing each other next month. I was shocked at how much tickets are! I ended up paying $250 a piece (bought 4 tickets) and we will also be staying over night since it is an evening game. That will cost even more.
But, all of this is paid in full. So, I just plan to enjoy!

Sounds like you are making a memory with your sons that they or you won't forget. DS goes to an NBA game once a year if he can afford it and it is expensive! But he loves the experience. Enjoy the game! I know that things come in groups and I believe good things do that also.

Thanks. I debated whether or not to spend this money but the boys are at an age where these are their sports "heros". And, I just think it will be alot of fun. I really don't mind spending money for experiences, eating out, etc even though you have nothing tangible to show for it.

i agree... sometimes it's worth the experience... especially when everything else is taken care of or it's a rare opportunity... i know we don't usually regret the rare times we have splurged and experienced something outside of everyday life...

            Enjoy the game!

Especially if it's paid in Cash & not Credit
