I think we are staying home and making our own fun this year. Usually make a cheesy, meaty dip popular here and maybe brownies for the sweet tooth afterward. So, I guess less than 15 dollars since I have most of the stuff already in the pantry. Cheap dates aren't we.
Certainly less then 20 for munchies. But it will be whole lot more fun than that! The people we will watch it with are a BLAST! Plus the Bears made it and it's one of the guys 'team' so he'll be extra excited. Don't tell him I want the Colts to win. I'll have to cheer in my head.
I not only don't know anyone who enjoys football (except my brother a 5 hour drive away, and my Dad a 16 hour drive away) but I don't think I know anyone who uses Superbowl for an excuse to have a party. My social circle is kind of odd sometimes.
Is it a good week to get chips, dip, beer, and soda pop on sale? Not that I want to stock up.

We are not sports fans here, so my answer to this is NONE!! The guys here might skim thru the channels and catch a score here or there, but it's more water-cooler informational than self-interest.
I asked the question because it was on our local news channel saying that the sales of big screen tvs was getting ready to boost because of the Superbowl. Had I not heard the promo for it, I wouldn't of even known there is a Superbowl on the horizon!
Nothing here either. I'm not a football fan at all, plus Sunday is our bowling night. There are some people who skip bowling to watch the Superbowl, but not us.
I usually go to a party but there are five us so I feel bad going with all those people so I usually bring pizza and it is $24 for three larges at dominoes. I have tried to think of something cheaper to bring but everyone tends to like the pizza and there is already wings and chilli there
Hmmm. I have a box of popcorn. I will probably purchase some tortilla chips and hummus (Kroger is have a 10 for $10 sale on hummus, so I will probably stock up on 2-3 tubs for next weekend). Maybe some Diet Coke...I usually drink water, but I've been craving some D.C. lately.
I'm not a big pro football fan (college football all the way!), but I do enjoy the Superbowl, at least for the commercials. And Prince is the halftime show, and who doesn't love Prince?
