    Disneysteve is entirely correct here.

I just read "the cabin at the end of the world.". They just made a movie on it. Knock at the door or something. The book was really good up until the ending. It was like watching a good movie then stopping it 10 minutes before it was over. I hope that m knight shamalon guy does it justice.

I certainly won't complain about a thread about good books -- I love to read!

I'm currently listening to "Grit" by Angela Duckworth as an audiobook -- generally good & interesting, about perseverance, passion, and growth mindsets ... though not as engrossing as others I've read.

However a couple weeks ago I finished "Turn the Ship Around" by David Marquet, which was fantastic -- it's about leadership & cultural change, from the perspective of a Navy submarine Captain. Another excellent recent read was "The Culture Code" by Daniel Doyle.

Most of the books I'm reading lately orbit around leadership, business, social science, and occasionally parenting topics (which are all really pretty inter-related) -- frankly, I'm trying to learn & apply good habits/thought processes to operate better in my current/upcoming jobs & family. But of course, I'm generally working on at least 4-5 books at any given time:
        - 1 or 2 for personal/professional development --- I mentioned the general topics above, but specifically I'm a big fan of anything by Adam Grant & Simon Sinek ... and anything else similar to their style of writing.
        - 1 or 2 for fun --- currently re-reading the "Harry Potter" series so that I can intelligently watch the movies & discuss the books with my 7y/o, who devoured them recently.
        - 2x kids' book series that I read as bedtime stories for my boys --- we're currently reading the "Magic Tree House" books for my 5y/o, and the "Eragon" books for my 7y/o.
