I voted "great", credit cards are a wonderfull tool if used properly. But CC companies are, well, not "evil" but they can and have pulled some very shady stuff in the name of making a buck and they make it too easy for people to get in over their heads, then kick them when they're down. There is a balance between personal responsibility and consumer protection, and I think the CC companies have and do cross the line at times.

I voted great - but I'd rather have had a neutral category to have chosen. They are only as good as you make positive use of them and as bad as you let yourself be with them. It's about self-control methinks.

The option is neutral, but it's not necessarily accurate.

I, for example, don't consider ccards "great", so number one is out.

I find them useful, but I certainly wouldn't call them "necessary." There went number 2.

I don't subscribe to the theory that ccards are bad or evil. Scratch 3 and 4.

But I certainly do have an opinion on the subject, so number 5 will not serve.
