    Re: Work bonuses do you?

My husband doesn't get a Christmas bonus but he does get a yearly Safety Bonus. Employees who go the whole year without any at fault on the job injuries or accidents or causing an injury to others through their actions receive these every March. After taxes it is usually $800. He's gotten it every year since he's worked there but one, when it was cut in half because he accidently drove off the ice road and onto the tundra (big no no up there). They do give some leeway when weather conditions are bad so he didn't lose the whole bonus.

I've been at my workplace since September and I got a bonus. I about fell outta my chair! It was $100 which was small compared to the other employees, but still! I didn't expect anything!!

The Hubster got a nice fat bonus this year and I believe he got one last year. This year only four or five guys in the whole plant got a bonus at all, so it was nice that he was one of them!

Some years they give them and some years they don't. I've learned not to count on it. When one shows up - hurrahhhhh!!
