Here here David...I don't know about you, but it's not like I ever had a lot of money but was comfortable at one time. Unfortunately, I let the acquisition of "stuff" take hold of me at some point, particularly for my 2 older daughters and now I'm holding this gunnysack full of debt. However, I am actually happier paring back and living lean. This site supports my desire to live with the "less is more" philosophy.

This is Allen. I was able to find the website was doing a google search for "saving forum". I have a feeling this is going to be a great website for me as I am always interested in how other people can save money. Hope I will be able to post a lot more in the future.

I was surfing around on the internet for tips on saving money and I came acorss on of the forum topics. I became hooked, started reading the blogs, created my own blog and now my finances are getting better and I can't stay away!

I was searching for some low cost meal ideas and found this site. I looked around the site a little and and then went about my search. I kept thinking about how I really needed to find another way to save besides clipping coupons so, I joined the next day, which is today.

I've only been on-line for a few years, and am constantly learning new/better ways to (make more intelligent) use the internet. Something I learned/realised only about a year ago... that forums can be an excellent source of information. Of course you can google numerous sites for info, but most want to sell you something. Using a forum for info, there's always a group of other internet users (real people - often without ulterior motives) looking for the same stuff you are. In this case, coupons, and here it seems, I've found a very nice bunch of 'experts' all ready and willing to help/share/learn together.


So, long story short (too late, I know)... I googled it, something like "forum + coupons" (I believe).

Just like a lot of people, google brought me here. I was looking for the comparisons between ING and Emigrant Direct. Obvisouly, I was taken to the huge thread. I now have accounts with both of those.

I was searching for savings/financial blogs but everytime I searched a different search, savingadvice.com would always appear somewhere in the search results. I thought I'd better check it out.

Like many others, I Googled my way here, but I did it via a search for 'canned vs dried beans' and found Yummy Saves' post on that topic. Google works in mysterious ways? *g*
