Hi all,
This has absolutely nothing to do with saving money but I am so proud of my son that I just wanted to let you all know of his great acheivement.
In July this year he sat a 2 hour exam to get into what is known as an Opportunity Class. We had to fill in an application form. Entry to the class is very competitive. Results from the test in conjunction with school marks from the last 5 years are taken into consideration. Obviously from the title of this post he got in. Yeah.
He is already in the GATS (gifted and talented students) class at school but this class which starts next year is a bit more of a challenge. It will mean that he will have to change schools but he says he is excited. Our daughter is changing schools as well. Doesn't have to but she wants to make some more friends. So brave for a seven year old!
Entry in the class which is for year 5 and 6 puts him in good stead for entry into a selective high school in Year 7.
