  • Neat way to possibly save water in the near future

As Australians become increasingly alert to the importance of using water wisely in the home, CSIRO researchers have found a way to use a third less water when you shower – by adding air.

In Australia they're working on a gadget that aerates the water from your shower head but produces no user-perceptable difference in water pressure or 'texture'. So far it's looking like it could reduce water usage in showers by 30%!

I'm intrigued, and wonder if there could be one for a kitchen faucet too...

I haven't read your link yet, but I'd be skeptical until I actually tried it. Water saving showers and faucet heads have never fooled me so far. Even if the feel could be the same, there is still the issue of how long it takes to wash off the soap. Decrease water flow and I think the rinsing power is decreased, therefore the time to rinse thoroughly is increased. Eh?
