Re: What is everyone's occupation?
I am a genetics grad student at Texas A&M Univ. I teach freshmen biology Monday through Wednesday and I do research for the rest of the week.
Hubby is a professional TREK bicycle representative (salesman). He works full time and he is still going to get University and Foundation honors when he graduate. Unlike me, he is only an undergrad since he is doing double-major. I am very proud of him.

I don't work anymore, but my last full time job was a waitress in a little rinky dink town where people don't know they are supposed to tip! I used to be a bookkeeper back in Florida in a little savings and loan, and we did all our books by hand. (no computers) My husband is a licensed builder!

Re: What is everyone's occupation?
I am a literacy coach at a public school. I work with kindergarten through third grade teachers on assessment and professional development. At least that's what my job description says. Actually, I do that as well as help all the teachers with whatever I can do. Before that I was a classroom teacher. My dh is a library assistant on the public library bookmobile.

Re: What is everyone's occupation?
Let's see -- For 32 years I was a university administrator, now retired.
Then -- Agreed to temporarily manage a small non-profit social services corporation that was experiencing difficulties. Were they ever! Falsified books, IRS fraud, other minor problems.
Finally -- After 4 years I was able to pass that tar baby along, and currently I go in two mornings a week to deal with the accounts, which is why my forum name is

I think it probably belongs in the "If you knew then what you know now, what is something you would never do" thread.Originally posted by rob62521Well, Bookie, you certainly lived for excitement there for awhile while managing that small non-profit social services corp. Bet you were glad to pass that puppy along!
And you're right. The day my successor claimed the office, I did a happy dance all the way to my car.
