Anyone here own an electric bicycle?

I ride a bicycle most places around town. I love it - except maybe a few trips/week become a bit too much. Like - I'm on my way to a business meeting at 1PM and it's hot. Or, I'm crunched for time and need a boost.

I've ridden a few electric bikes before at a Tesla meetup. They were incredible. Does anyone here have one? But I want to be sure and get one that switches from manual to electric easily. I don't want to lose my incredible a$$.

I want one badly because I know it would allow me to be on my bike 5 times as much as I am now. But the prices are ridiculous. You can buy a used automobile for the price of a new electric bicycle. So I'm going to wait until either they drop in price or until I can essentially replace my car with one. An electric bicycle really only makes financial sense for someone who will replace their car usage with it.
