    Rent non-power tools?

    Before I start calling a zillion rental shops. anyone know if I might be able to rent a cable cutter good enough to easily cut concrete reinforcing wire?

    While we're at it, are there other/any non-power tools that are commonly available for rental?

    Are you referring to rebar, mesh, or actual braided wire? In all 3 cases, the most effective tool I've found is an angle grinder with a grinding wheel. The second best is a sawzall with a fine blade. A lot of places rent these.

    Is there a reason you don't want to use a power tool?

      Most Home Depots have a fairly large tool rental department. They can point you in the right direction.
