    Re: Those little things...

I always let my dishwater air dry itself too. I wash in cold water too, but I never line dry. I am drying two loads of clothes in one right now, I want to see if it takes a lot longer. I am using the two dry towels in the dryer to dry faster. It seems to work. I keep a lot of towels in the garage for my husband to wash and dry the cars with.

I agree about using half the laundry soap. My dh can come home pretty grimey, especially if he was under one of his machienes & his clothes come out clean. Even when my baby has a diaper blow out everything comes out clean.

I usually buy Extra brand detergent but I love the smell of Tide but I refuse to pay 3X the amt for the same clean. Some diluted Downy works just fine to give it that fresh scent. BTW I only use the sugg amt of Downy when I'm washing my sheets & blankets. I just can't get enough of that smell!

i use tide coldwater as directed. i use vinegar in the rinse cycle and diluted softener in a jar with sponges. i squeeze out a sponge, or two with bedding and throw in the dryer. then i add the sponges to my drawers. when i get a new one and all the drawers are full, i remove the older ones and put them back in the jar.
