Personally I would also consider the ability to add on. Does this house have an area that could be added on to later?
Our first house was 950 sq. ft. We had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and we lived there before kids and up until we had one child. We could have added on to it on the back end.
Our 2nd home was 1400 sq. ft.
Our house now is more than double that, but we also moved from a HCOL area to a LCOL area so the house we are in now, while more than the double the size, was about half the price!
