Do you pick up pennies? It seems to me that more and more people are throwing away pennies these days as I find them on a regular basis. Is a penny really so worthless to people that they think it is OK to throw them away? This concept is a bit foreign to me, so I would like to hear from anyone that does throw away their pennies why they do (and if you do, feel free to send them to me)

Yep, and I have a coin jar I keep my "found" money it. It can add up quite a bit after a while.Comment

Yep, and everytime I do I say the little rhyme. You know, see a penny pick it up, all day long have good luck. I think that if I don't I might have bad luck! lolComment

I pick them up, too. I find them all the time. Nickels and dimes, too. Hardly ever see a quarter but every now and then.Steve

I have a small collection of very nasty looking pennies. They seem to have been on the ground amassing filth and corrosion a long time.

I pick them up... I was behind a guy in an S series Mercedes the other day at a light. He placed his car in park, got out and picked up a coin out of the middle of the road next to the median. I was like, "Wow! No wonder he's driving that S series."Comment

My (almost) 3-year-old son just got a piggy bank, so I don't pick them up, I point them out for HIM to pick up. He gets so excited!Comment
