My son has asked for a new sleeping bag for Christmas and I plan to get it for him.
I would like to reuse the old sleeping bag somehow. I don't know in what way his sleeping bag is worn out, but I'm guessing that the interior flannel is worn through and probably the stuffing at those worn places is ratty.
I'm thinking about patching up the filling with new pieces of quilting loft (or something?) and removing the zipper. I think I will make something like a duvet cover for the whole thing. Only it will be permanently secured, in the fashion of those old tied quilts.
Any other ideas how to use the materials from an old sleeping bag?
