Currently 65 in home, it's a balmy 8 degrees outside, we sleep with the Walmart special that fries us out of bed, while its set to 62 downstairs at nite, we don't have a heating system upstairs which is fine by us.

I have been keeping it at 69 and it seems perfect. I occasioanlly drop to 68 when hot at night. dh is getting used to it but still claims he is sometimes cold. lol. He used to put the heat down low during work hours and when I cut back at work, I never bothered to readjust higher heat fo rme being home. I learned you kinda get used to it.

I live in a 109 year old 2600 sq ft mine house. it isa double house that we opened up so we have 2 gas furnaces that are 20 years old and a 2 year old pellet stove. The one side i set at 62 right now and the other is set at 66. The stove is on 65 and im freezing. My house sits on a crawl space and the cold is just unbearable. A few weeks ago we actually just turned on the second furnace because our pipes froze, luckily they did not burst. When it is real cold at night I turn both furnaces up to 66 to prevent the pipes from freezing. Mostly at night I go upstairs in my bedroom because it is like 80 up there all the time. My gas bill this month was $365 and my electric bill was $150 plus I have spent about $1000 on wood pellets so far this winter. It is crazy and im ready to move somewhere warmer. Last year I bought all new windows(28 of them) and 4 new doors and 2 new storm doors. My next home will be much warmer.

We keep it around 70. I like to be warm but I don't like it that high however our kids seem generally less snifly when at those temps. I lot of times though I will go down to 65 during the day and off al together when we leave home.

We have a programmable thermostat in the house we are in right now. We set it for 65 at night and for during the day when we are gone, but it is set to 70 for waking up and when we get home. I am not one of those "get used to it" kind of people. I get cold. My hands get very icy and my nose runs and that is at 65. The upside? I don't care for the air to be really cold in the summer either. I could happily live with 75-78. Sometimes more. So, just to play advocate, all you happily cold people, what about the air conditioning? Do you keep it in the mid 70's or do you crank it down?

If you want to save money on heating then keep the temp low and wear a sweater if your cold.

We keep it at 65 when we're home and 60 during the day when we're at work. I think we have it at 62 overnight.

65 at wake up/go to bed times, 60 everytime else. This was the first winter I kept it this cold and with sweatshirts it was ok. I did just cheat the other day though and turned my water heater one click up from the lowest. Maybe I need to move a portion of next months electric bill into my blow column now. I love hot showers.
