I'm wondering if I should start looking for a new job. I currently work about 30 minutes from my house, but soon I will be working on only Saturdays and Sundays due to school. Should I look for something closer to home to save on gas? I feel like the money I'm making is going straight into my gas tank.

I drive 30 minutes because they worked with my school hours and allowed me to stay full-time to keep my benefits. Now that I will be part-time I don't see any reason to stay. I work as a Front Desk Associate at a hotel and to be honest I don't like it one bit. I would try to find something making around the same amount of money...which isn't much to begin with. It's about $9 an hour after taxes. -
If you're driving 30 mins to a job you hate then yeah I'd be looking for a new one. Since you're working part-time it doesn't sound like you really need this job.....so yeah I'd probably look for another one. With summer coming up you might be able to find a little part time job. I work part-time a Macy's. Retail always seems like a good place to look for jobs like that.Comment
