ref: use of the hairdryer...Well, I don't use one and my sister uses hers about once a week...but, my niece uses it a lot!! (and, being 15, she'd have a heart attack if I suggested she used it less!)...still, another thing that was left out is that the cooler settings are less damaging to your hair - and, if you are using products to repair the damage done by the higher settings, in a byway, using the cooler setting and using it for less time will also reduce the amount of money you use to try to keep your hair from "frying"!

    Re: Hair Dryer Challenge

Havn't used one in years, Not for the saving money, though it is nice to know I am saving by not using it. But because I have no patience to sit still long enough to dry all 4 ft of my hair. (ok maybe only 3.5ft) See long hair is saving me money . Although I also hate going to sleep in the winter with wet hair, so summer I wash hair in the evening, winter I wash it in the morning (and not to many of those, wet hair is cold!)

BTW after reading up on the stove wattage, I just want to mention I HATE my elevctric stove.

I only dry my hair with a hair dryer if I am going out. Otherwise the hair drys by itself. Curly frizzie that needs a hair dryer to go out in public. Sometimes under a baseball cap will work as well.

I have heard that flax seed oil will cure the frizzies, My man uses a gallon of gel to cure his, fortunatly it is only availible thru some fancy retailer, in pgh. which means that my MIL has to buy it for us, or suffer a son with curly, long AND frizzy hair. she hates all three so poor woman is still not happy.

Oh and a wooden hair stick(kind of like a long three pronged umm stick) works wonders to hide all of my hair in a bun, still need some gel for the base if you have super flyaway though. (try not washing it, oil of your own will weigh it down, but also can't brush it or you will spread the oil out to the tips and it wouldnt be there to hold the base hair down, but don't go too long or sweat too much, makes even the nice hair stick out instead of laying flat)
