We have been hitting the jackpot lately!
We went to BB's, an Amish run bent, banged and bargains store.
Cereal was 2 boxes for $1. I do not buy cold cereal usually, because 1) it is too expensive and 2) it has a lot of sugar. This was Dora, Lucky Charms and Captain Crunch.
Now, I can use it for snacks, though, and take a bag with us in the car. When we go *into town*, we almost always have to stop and get a snack or drinks. This is cheaper, and not as bad as McD's. I know we should just pack a lunch, but with four children, it just doesn't always happen! Plus, it gets pricey, and then they get grouchy and I get desperate! Then I feel guilty about the $10, etc.
I mostly cook from scratch, but am not against convenience foods for the right price. A few weeks ago, they had StoveTop for 3 boxes/$1!
Some of these have damaged boxes, and some have a date that is close to going out or is barely passed.
My husband loves brownies, no-bake cheesecakes, etc, and this is a good place to get those.
They had gallons of Minute Maid for $.99, orange juice for $.99 per gal or qt, organic yogurt, 6/$1,, cereal/granola bars, 2 boxes/$1, etc.
Anyone else have a store like this near them?
There are a few like this near me, we are in northeast MD.
It is so great to get a deal that really makes a difference in your budget!
