Cheapest meals ever!

This has to be an all time record, unless I was fasting.

Today my husband and I ate store bought food, three meals for two people for a total of 79 cents. We got a super deal on eggs, 49 cents a dozen at Aldi, and a small bunch of bananas for 30 cents at a neighborhood market. Those were all we ate today, so it was an average of 13.1 cents per meal per person. Kind of weird eating, but that's okay. We were working outdoors all day and didn't want to fool with meal prep.

Even the cooking of the eggs contributed no cost as we hard cooked them in the solar oven.

Do I get a medal? A badge? A gold star?

That is a super deal you got, indeed cooking at home can save you more and a bonding plus with your family.
