We never ordered the 2nd round but I went on today and ordered a batch.

For clarification disneysteve since you never ordered the 2nd round, is this order considered your 2nd, or is it considered your 3rd?

As for myself, I never ordered the 2nd myself until last night. So I am hoping that I got my order in just in time before the 3rd round but who knows and my order could be considered my 3rd.

I believe if you didn't order the 2nd round, this is it, and you can still order the 3rd round too. When I placed my order, it gave me a notification to that effect.

We didn't order the 2nd round because we still had the 1st ones. I saw no benefit in stockpiling them, especially since they do expire. As of now, we've now used 1 of the 4 free ones from batch 1 plus 2 that I had bought and my daughter is going to an event next month that will require her to use another, so we'll only have 2 left. I figured it was time to order more plus they should have a longer shelf life than the ones we've already had for months.

Of course, if we ever really need one, I'd be happy to buy it. They seem to be readily available in stores at this point.

Today in the mail I received my order that I placed last night which I is my 2nd but I hope is not counted as my 3rd. Me too as well I never used my 1st order which expired in April 2022 until last week when I noticed it expired so I opened a box to test myself (neg). It seemed wasteful to toss it. I still have the remaining test from that box which I will test again so as not to waste it. The other box from my 1st order I gave to my gf in Tijuana last night. I told her in USA every gets 2 free test kits (now 3 free kits). She was delighted even though it expired in April 2022 because she said a test kit in Tijuana cost $75.

Yep. It got me thinking that maybe USPS stores the test kits the post offices and that is how I got mine's so fast.

I haven't ordered my 3rd round yet but I see it contains 8 tests in total. It says they will ship the tests in 2 separate packages w/each package containing 2 test kits and each kit contains 2 tests, for a total of 8 tests. So I can confirm that my 2nd round that I received 2 days ago on 5/17/22 was my 2nd round because the single package that I received contained only 2 tests kits each containing 2 tests for a total of 4 tests. I truly got lucky and just made the cutoff before the 3rd round.

Regarding the expiration dates, some have been extended. It depends on the brand, but you may want to do an internet search for the ones you have that are at or nearing the expiration date. I just looked up the ones we have on hand and added 3 months to the exp date, writing the new date in permanent marker on the boxes. The ones we got in the 1st round originally showed an exp date in June, but now I can use them for my August travel. We also skipped the 2nd round, but I just ordered some more.
