  • Saving Energy Costs

Is there a ready made solution that can help us save energy consumption in our organization? I manage warehouses and we need a tool that would be able to help us modify how we want to view, organize and report our energy consumption. From this data we can decide appropriately what to do to save energy costs. Apparently there is an available tool for this I'm just not sure where to find it.

I'm sorry but I am not familiar with the tools you are saying, does it track and control energy consumption?

Yes, the main objective is to monitor the consumption and from there, certain measures should be done to minimize the cost. Has anyone heard about energy benchmarking solution? I'd be glad to hear first hand experiences about their own energy management procedures. Thanks in advance.

I just look at our monthly bills that show our month to month consumption.

That will show your usage but won't point out ways to help decrease consumption.

I know there's a device called a Kill A Watt meter that lets you see how much electricity every item uses. Going around the house or office and doing your own little audit can show you that certain things might be sucking up a lot more power than you realize, even when they are off. Once you know that, you can get more diligent about turning things off or unplugging them when they are not in use.
