  • Looks Like We Will Most Likely Have A Recount

Clinton already conceded so she most likely will not call for a recount. Jill Stein, however, is crowdfunding the recount which will most likely hit its goal later today or tomorrow.

I frankly don't think Clinton can make up that many votes unless they actually find reporting fraud...which is unlikely.

    The drama continues.....

If there is any fraud discovered, it is likely the case that it occurred in some capacity in both major parties. We had a close local vote a few years back, where one candidate had initially lost by something like 60 votes. A recount was ordered, and after the votes were tallied, that candidate lost by a couple hundred.

It would only matter if they can find errors that would swing the electoral vote. Clinton won the popular vote by a wide margin (nearly 2 million last I heard).

      * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
      * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
      * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

All this is going to do is further divide this country regardless of the outcome.

They are only recounting Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Clinton needs two out of the three to flip which is very unlikely.

Clinton's popular vote win margin keeps climbing is what is going to divide the country. People will cry foul for a very long time. There will be many disputes toward the essence of this ill representation of a pseudo democracy.

I give credit to Clinton and Obama for not publicly encouraging this recount, unless they have done so and I haven't seen it. I suspect she is hoping it takes place and it leads to a victory. But she is doing the right thing by staying quiet about it.

I also believe Trump is doing the right thing and pushing for unity and denouncing the alt-right.

Do you think if Trump tries to push for the abolishment of the electoral system(in which he will fail but whatever) will help unite the country? It's definitely a goodwill gesture to appease the left. But we all know it's like that girl trying to pay for dinner on the first date..we both know it's not going to happen but hey..that gesture usually makes her a keeper.

No, I really don't think anything Trump does in the short term is going to make a bit of difference. He has made some goodwill gestures and still the major networks focus on negative stories.

Saw a headline with one of his NYT's quotes regarding the conflict of interest with his businesses. The headline is completely out of context with what he said.

I personally believe the media's bias against Trump is a big reason for why he ended up winning. And I think their continued bias is going to garner more support for him. There is all this talk about undoing things in 4 years. If the next 4 years consists of a nonstop media blitz against Trump, I think we will be looking at 8 not 4.

Depends on his matrix. If there's an economic boom, jobs actually coming back from overseas, less terrorist attacks, ISIS defeated, and our borders protected...then yeah you'll see 8 years no doubt. Hell even I'll go out and vote for him.

But if he is going to have a war with the media while everything else goes to ****s, then you'll see a huge surge of voters next time around voting him out.

No doubt he has to deliver and make people's lives better.

But I think the anti-Trump media ignited the people to get out and vote, but not the way they were hoping. I believe many view the media as part of the corruption they are tired of living with. Personally, I want to read the news. I don't want to feel like I am being manipulated.

I think the news is more biased toward drama than for say a particular candidate. It just so happens Trump was full of good old fashion drama that drives up ratings.

If the candidates and their spokesmen can just stop pivoting and start answering the questions like a person..the news media may actually spend more time reporting facts than to engage in high emotional battles using their correspondents. On the flip side, high emotional battles is what gets people to watch..but also causes the division we have today.

                        For example.

On AC360, the question was asked to the Trump's spokesmen "how come Trump is so specific when attacking Hamilton or SNL but their team released a blanket statement about condemning racism as a whole and refuse to call out the Alt-right?"

The answer should of been "I'm not sure why Mr. Trump did that, but I'm sure he finds the Alt-right to be unacceptable and is a situation I am hoping he looks into on his priority list"

The answer we got was "We have to realize that it's the media and the left that started the race identity (like black life matters) which causes a group of people to also identify themselves as a race causing this kind of nationalist talk"..you can see how an answer like that just caused everyone's head to explode.

Singuy, it wouldn't be appropriate for a spokesperson to state publicly what they hope their boss will make a priority.

It would change the process dramatically if during debates and press conferences candidates were actually required to answer questions. All we get today is a canned response that almost always has nothing to do with the question that has been asked. That's why the debates are such a huge waste of time.

These spokesperson are almost caricatures and not human. The simple "I don't know because I am not Trump" is probably good enough..but instead they invent an answer using twisted logic.
