I have seen the real estate profession get mocked before, but I always assumed there were strict licensing requirements and the negative was mostly sellers bitter about paying a commission.
Then I read more about the South Carolina serial killer and discovered he was a Realtor! Convicted felon who served 15 years for kidnapping is also a registered sex offender.
How the heck can something like that happen? A profession that involves accessing peoples homes and often being alone with clients.
