They need to remove one of my front tooth. I have 2 options 1. Dental implant, which costs around $5000 to $6000 out of my pocket 2. Bridge (Cantilever which means only one side tooth support), which costs around $1000 out of my pocket Here’s my thoughts so far and based on my research Dental implants can lasts a life time, bridge might need replacement every 7-20 years Dental implants require surgery which of course any surgery comes with a risk Dental implants takes a long time from start to finish, bridge only require few visits to dentist Bridge might give you the “high smile line” look (google it) and it is not very good aesthetically Bridge also looks kinda weird and fake than a dental implant with natural looking tooth Bridge needs to “trim” the neighbor tooth Dental implant protect your jawbone by not having an open space in your mouth There are pros and cons for each side, my worry about bridge is the look of my smile and my worry about implant is the cost and the surgery. Since this is a savings forum, I’m not really comfortable spending $6000 for this but is it better in the long run? Anyone been in this situation? What did you decide?
