I hope Android gaming gains traction....

I highly recommend checking out some old school turn-based RPG games such as Baldur's Gate and Shadowrun. They are amazing on tablets (but hard to read on a phone).

I've also played a lot of the Kingdom Rush series and Bloons 5. Both are excellent examples of tower defense.

If you like adventure games, another gem is the TellTale games series. They include the Walking Dead, Games of Throne, and Tales from the Borderland. The porting job is generally superb.
