  • I bought a car without an engine to save gas

I bought a really inexpensive compact car (a neon) without an engine. I have a plastic doll in a child seat. I get around by looking stranded and having people push the car to the next town. Too cheap?

Fred Flintstone didn't have an engine in his car and he got around just fine.

You gotta do what you gotta do. Gas is expensive. It took me 3 1/2 years of peeing in the shower every day to save up enough for just 1 gallon of gas. Can you believe it?

And no engine means no oil and filter changes either. You don't wanna know how many lbs of bananas I had to peel to afford that one!

I had a neighbor whose car didn't run. When he wanted to go to his parents house a few blocks away, he would push it over there, and then back that night. Not kidding!

Of course, he also stockpiled tractor tube tires in his backyard so he could eventually fill them with helium so he could attach them to a chair and float off into another dimension...
