Debt consolidation is almost always a bad idea. This is especially true when you are rolling in your credit cards to your mortgage. How does it feel to know that you'll be paying that credit-card paid dinner-for-two off over thirty years? Asinine.

Get serious about tackling your debt and take the steps necessary (i.e. - earn more, spend less, sell stuff, etc.) instead of looking for what appears to be the easy way out.

Don't put your house in jeopardy for the sake of moving debt.

I find it hilarious when consolidators use terms like "pay off" -- as in "pay off your debts with a debt consolidation loan." You didn't pay off anything! You moved your multiple smaller debts from unsecured credit cards and such to a single huge debt secured by your house! Foolish.

Also: A warning to the OP. If you are fishing for business you will not be allowed to participate on this site. Do not post the name of a company or a link pertaining to debt consolidation. Read the rules.
