  • What education/training should i get next?

    Hey Guys,

Quick background about me. I'm 31 working as a senior analyst for a big bank... been working for about 9 years. I have my undergrad in accounting and an MBA from the best school in my state (went part time nights).

My company offers ~7K/yr for school/training. I have no certifications of any kind.

Do you guys have any advice on what education, training or certs I should go for next? My next logical step would be management or pin-pointing something technical.

What have others in similar situations done?

Why not get a CPA (certified public accountant), judging by your age you probably graduated before the post Enron education requirements (masters degree etc). Do you see yourself working at a big company for your entire career? A CPA could help A LOT if you want to start your own accounting firm or join as a partner
