Ever drink from a glass in a hotel room?

I only ever drink out of the ones that are disposable and wrapped in plastic. If I stay at a hotel with real glasses, I do not use them....precisely for that reason. I hardly trust the glasses that come out of my own dish washer...!

I have always put the dishes into the dishwasher when I get there. I also take Lysol disinfectant with me to spray the bathtub, shower and general areas. When I leave, I totally strip the beds down. Even with all of that, you're not safe.

Oh fun! Glad I don't use them. I do use the plastic wrapped disposable ones though. I usually just have bottles of water when I travel.

I just stayed in a hotel that had a mini suite and boy did I remember this post when I looked around and tried to surmise how they cleaned the glasses. Needless to say, I brought some disposables with me.

I am sure not all hotels do this but I assume that all do just to be safe ;-)

my DH and son were at a restaurant the other day and watched as the waitress made a icky face and wiped something (grease?) off of her hand onto the top of the hamburger bun then serve it

You really need to report thiese people when you see something like that. I saw something similiar in the grocery store today when I noticed that a cashier didn't wash her hands when she left the restroom. That's why I make sure that all of my fruit is in a bag, not to mention who has handled it before I got to it.
