  • "On Being Hard Up"

Jerome K. Jerome was an English writer/humorist of the late 19th/early 20th century. In his collection of essays Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow he has a delightful little essay entitled "On Being Hard Up." The whole essay is here -- http://www.literaturepage.com/read/idlethoughts-23.html

Delightful for evening or weekend reading.

Thanks for posting this - I want to read it and will sometime today after I get caught up on reading all the latest blog entries and making my Bank Run.

Interesting article. I wonder if the late victorian era was any better than our days of easy credit.

Nice find. Thank you for posting it.

Jerome would have made a first-rate blogger.
