I am in debt $3,000 because she took out a lot of money in my name to fund her gambling addiction. I cant seem to get anything in my name now. Is there anyway to get around this without having to sue my own mother?

ouch. sorry. this is tough, but is actually pretty common. you dont technically have to 'sue' your mother just yet. you should contact the creditor and let them know you were a victim of fraud and that the proper owner of the debt is your mother. The creditor could very well go after your mother for the debt though, so that is a consideration.

Lol, well i'll keep that in mind. I don't want my mom to get into trouble with creditors because she can't help it. She has really bad problems with her brain from tumors so I don't think she knew what she was doing.Originally posted by Randomsaver View PostRemember she brought you into this world and the going price valuation for that is $105,691.58 before tax.

You're mom stole from you. She committed credit fraud. $3000 is probably good for 3 to 5 years in State Prison.
If you don't want to get your mom in trouble, then you'll just have to eat it. Get yourself credit monitoring so she can't do it again. Then, you need to do some serious soul searching and decide if you want your mom to be a part of your life going forward.Brian

Huh.She has really bad problems with her brain from tumors so I don't think she knew what she was doing.
Overdrawing her own account by $3,000 might be "didn't know what she was doing".
OTOH... forging her son's name to go gambling takes pre-meditation and planning. AKA: malice aforethought.
She knew what she was doing.
