Nextdoor takes my wages

Ok this is probably going to sound out there but there are so many people who are just like me. It all started off with I need to borrow £5 to get some gas till I got paid from work. A week later can I borrow more money, a week later even more. Turns out I was borrowing about a hundred a month till I got paid. Then the “you do drugs right?” question came up and I replied, “sometimes”. Then it was have a bag of cocaine and not pay till payday. Simple and easy thing to start off with.

It’s been a few years and now the day I get paid I pay rent (as I have an eviction order ready in action if I don’t make min payment) and the rest goes to nextdoor. It was so easy to borrow from him but now I have the ‘favor book that he can’t close’ so I have become his lackey.
I ask for £20 to buy food and gas and I get £5 in silver and copper coins and £4 in scratch cards, and to get that I have to run down the shop for him. I can’t borrow from anyone else as they are having money problems and anyone who offers to help control my finances (i.e. feed me a set amount each week) I can’t trust as they will skim some out, including family.
I asked the bank for help but they said with my payday loans and CCJ for council tax, means they can’t offer any service. I took a night time job at work last year to reduce the chance of being offered drugs but that’s being outsourced to another part of the uk as an experiment next month.

I have no one to trust to look after my finances and the only one I can borrow money from wants it paid back and topped up with favors and drug dept. Does anyone know of a service that can just take control of my finances from me? This month I will be paid loads of overtime and it will be the first time I will have money after outgoings. I need a service that can make my monthly pay into weekly money like a card account or something. I can’t control my finances and just need something that means I can’t pay for drugs. I can go cold turkey as it’s not a problem, I just need the dependency of nextdoor out the window. I know I am no longer in control and I cant stop it until someone takes over, deals with everything and slowly gives me control back when I can trust myself to cope.

So, you borrow money from next door so that you can buy cocaine and scratch off lottery tickets, then you have no money left over for rent or food?

You need to check yourself into a drug rehab. You can beat this!

I don't borrow it for coke and lotto tickets. First if i ask to borrow money as I am financially dependent on him he gives it to me in his used lotto tickets where he won (so i cash up to buy basics like food.) and Second with the addiction he has gotten me in, its like a child asking for something to eat and the mother giving them sweets, there are not going to turn away from sweets even though they know its not good for them but its better than nothing.

In short I get paid I give him all my wages and I have nothing left over. He is the only one who will give me money through the month as everyone i know wont. With the money comes conditions that makes me even more dependent. I want money for food, gas, elec and such and I get only enough to buy food for one night. I get down, depressed and i get bags of coke waved under my nose so to speak or a text message saying "how many bags you want." I can't turn it down as my body wont let me.

You need professional help. Check into a rehab center.

There is no service that will just "take control" of your finances for you. Many people try to have professionals do this for them and it ends up in disaster. You cannot have someone else control your money AND be in good financial shape.

You need professional help in terms of your addiction. That is really what is killing you (financially, mentally, and physically). Once you get clean, you can focus on handling money better.

Your financial problems are not really the problems; they are just symptoms of a greater problem. That problem is your addiction, and no one on this forum is qualified to help you with that. I really hope you understand this and check yourself into rehab.

Why not open 4 different accounts with a bank. Then label them 1Week, 2Week, 3Week, Last.

Every time you get your monthly pay, split it to those 4 accounts. Use only the amount you have on each week.

You should find a rehab center to help you with your addiction. You must find a way to help yourself of such. Your financial problem is really never a big problem it is your addiction that you have to control.
