    Making Progess!!!

In August 2011 my wife and I received somewhat significant pay raises. Instead of spending extra money, we have been solely focused and honed in on paying down debt. In August 2011, our debt sheet looked like this:
    1. Mortgage - 150k
    2. Rental House - 101k
    3. Student Loans - 107k
As of 4/18/12 our new debt sheet looks like this:
    1. Mortgage - 147k
    2. Rental House - 100k
    3. Student Loans - 76k
We have taken our overall debt from 358k down to 323k! That is a total of 35k in 9 or 10 months. We are remaining focused and realize that this battle won't be won until we are at zero. Keep focused and get your priorities straight and you too can payoff debt like we are doing. I am posting this to hopefully give some of you hope out there that you can get out of debt if you remain focused over time. Thanks for reading.

Wow, you're moving at a great pace and you're more than halfway to seeing the first digit of your total debt drop. (I don't know about you, but it's seeing the most significant digit of a number change really drives the progress home for me.)

Very nice! If you sell the rental house, you can knock it down another $100k pretty quickly
