  • Halp fast! appetizer

    I was going ot make a bacon and spinach wrap for tonight, but I have no spinach... any suggestions? Fast please??? (it is crumbled bacon, taco shells for the wraps)

    You could use lettuce or beans.

      Spinach and
      -ranch dressing
      -blue cheese dressing
      -cream cheese
      -tomato
      -hard boiled egg w/ mayo
      -canned tuna or salmon mashed with cream cheese or mayo

        Thanks for the suggestions, I actually found a hidden stash of spinach under some other veggies, then I dropped it on the floor, the appetizer was not meant to be!

          I realized I was thinking you had no bacon, and had spinach that needed a buddy. So my suggestions were a little.....dim. Hope all went well.

            Eh, the party was fun and fortunatly other people actually had food that worked! (I did have carrot bread that I took to share)

              Next time you could try cream cheese wraps. A friend of mine mixes chili seasoning or taco seasoning with cream cheese, adds some diced chili peppers (the kind in cans) and shredded cheese, spreads the mixture on flour tortillas, rolls them up, and cuts them into little circles. Pretty and tasty, all in one.

                  I heard of a recipe that uses chopped black olives in the cream cheese. In that one, you mix the cream cheese with an onion soup packet.
