  • What do you pack for lunch?

Usually what the hubby and I do is bring our leftovers from the night before to work. Either that and/or sandwiches.

We decided to cut back on eating out so now I'm looking for ideas for brown bag/lunch box type meals.

    What do you pack?

I have no microwave at either job. 90% of the time I take a sandwich and a fruit or raw vegetable. Sometimes yogurt and fruit. Sometimes salad with chicken in it. I like hummus an vegetables but it's so garlicky. I tend to avoid garlic in my lunches since I'm a massage therapist.

Have you tried making your own. It's very easy. That way you could control the garlic content.

        Hummus would suck without garlic.

Hummuns, cheese, and veggie sandwich w/ a piece of fruit or a salad and a piece of fruit. I am a creature of habit and do not stray much from my routine.

Usually a grilled chicken breast with brown rice. A few pieces of fruit and a cup or two of greek yogurt. And a couple peanut butter sandwiches on wheat as a snack.

This is exactly what my wife & I do. We always cook in large quantities (side-effect of both growing up in large families), so we constantly have leftovers. One dinner will generally last us for at least 1-2 days of lunches afterward. We also do bulk cooking on the weekend, doing stuff like chili, baked chicken, and soups/stews. Then we can just keep it in the fridge (or freezer even) for a week or more & have lunches ready anytime.
