I went to Aldi yesterday, and bought my usual every 6-8 week groceries --mostly canned goods by the case, drink mixes, frozen juices. and a few frozen items like chicken, salsbury steak. It was $40 higher than last time.
Price differences I noticed were:
ogurt -was .29 each now .43
frozen juice was .76 now .85
quick oats were .89 now 1.69
I plan to go through my receipt and see what I can cut out and where. It cost me $242.70 this trip. Normally it is between $195 and $200.
Still, all we will still be buying is milk, probably more cheeses, fruits and a few meats. So, I am still feeding us for around $250 a month. We do get most of our milk, cream and liquid dairy items from the local dairy-basically just to help support another local business and farmer.
