  • Do you keep anything besides food in your fridge?

    I do.

I keep batteries, film, vegetable seeds and vitamins in my fridge. SO already informed me the vitamins take up too much room. Agreed, but so do his 3 12-packs of Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite in his fridge. Uh-oh. I see a confrontation coming.

I do the batteries too!! I also have a #10 can of dried egg substitute! I am sure it will take me a life time to use it all!! (I've found it doesn't work as well as the real thing, but I've got it now.)

FIlm - we have a ton in the fridge right now that we will probably never get around to using since we have all switched to digital.
My parents keep medicine for the farm animals in the fridge - and raw milk for the calves. Luckily we have two fridges

LOL. For a while I had a big bucket of worm castings (yes, that does mean worm poop) on the kitchen counter. A friend who composts with worms gave them to me for my houseplants. But she was in kind of a hurry so there were HUNDREDS of red wriggler worms in there too. It took me weeks of working on it for ten minutes every night to sort all the worms from the castings.

I thought it was kind of fun and started thinking about getting worm compost bins for our basement but my SO flipped out. Oh well. It was really too time consuming.

But I just tossed all those worms into my outside compost bins and they actually survived the winter.

P.S. My SO keeps batteries in the fruit drawer.

He also has a toy crocodile that has been in the fridge of each house he's lived in for about fifteen years. It sits on top of the jars of food in the back of the fridge.

We have ear candles. A friend of ours makes them and we buy them from her in bulk. Keeping them in the fridge makes them last longer.

i tried nail polish for awhile since my mom used to work at a nail place ans she keeps hers in there... after awhile our fridge got too crowded and i took them out... i think it's supposed to make them last longer and keep them from drying out as fast... =)... other than that it's mostly food...

                              YES!

We keep film, infants' tylenol, and teether rings in the fridge. In the freezer we have a blue-ice-gel pack for when "there's a migraine in the house" (that phrase sounds a lot funnier than the reality!)
