  • The cholesterol challenge

My cholesterol is elevated and ever since I had my thyroid radiated it has slowly gone up. I went to the doctor for a check-up and the total cholesterol and LDL levels are borderline elevated. I decided to lower it naturally. Does anyone else here want to join me? If so, let us track our progress on this thread.

I just posted a similar challenge today! I am starting NOW.

It is mostly a challenge for my DH (he has high cholesterol) but I am joining him to better support him and to loose weight. We actually know quite a bit about what is good for us, the problem has been in implementation.

Cool. I'm borderline high and I just working I getting it down naturally. I don't have to lose any weight just tweak the diet a bit. Where's your challenge?

My challenge is going really well. I had steak at my class reunion on Friday and that's the first piece of red meat, I had in 4 weeks. These are the following things I have been working on:

        1. Eating more fruit and trying new fruits
        2. Keeping my fiber intake over 25
        3. Drinking more water
