• Grocery coupon booklets

I keep coming across advertisements for coupon booklets. They sound good, but something doesn't seem right to me. You pay $15 and get several hundred dollars worth of certificates that you can exchange for coupons. Has anyone tried this? Is it legit or a scam?

They are not worth it. Here's a thread on one of the biggest ones that has been scamming people. There are a lot of hidden costs that make it likely that you will receive little, if any savings. I would say they are best to avoid.

Coupons are generally for the expensive brands and you don't end up saving much anyway in comparison to what you can buy on generic. Unless you really know your prices or you only buy the non-generic brands.

I rarely use coupons- maybe for diapers and did for formula. I generally buy generic items and watch out for sales.

You usually wind up with a lot of coupons you can't or wouldn't normally use. In my opinion, it isn't worth the price.
