I have two savings accounts: one is linked to my everyday banking, the other is completely separate at CapitalOne. I don't have a card to access this account, so the only way to get the money out is to do a transfer or to withdraw at a branch.
The CapitalOne has $10, and the other is at $0. But I set up two transfers of $100 to go into both accounts this Friday, so that will be my starting point.
The Tuesday or Wednesday before payday, I will transfer a percentage (50-80%) of what is left over from my last check between both accounts. Then on payday, I'll send 20% of my paycheck to both accounts.
I am really hoping I can stay dedicated to this using the 50/30/20 budget. I do forsee some surprises, since Winter hasn't exactly arrived yet, and my car is not ready
