Can We Save Way Ahead Of Time?

Here is something that I tried, and it works for me

Put aside whatever you can in a book, and pretend that it is not there (example - taxes that are due each year)

Any loose change (pennies included), put in a jar or jug, and let it build up to a certain point, and cash the coins in at a bank or grocery store (I have done this too).

I do the loose change thing. I emptied my pockets of all loose change each day, or when I came back from a shopping trip. When I counted up at the end of the year once I found I had over $300. It soon adds up.
