I usually research purchases before I make final purchases. I'll often check out the reviews on products and sellers either on sites like amazon, cnet or by searching google or yahoo with the word "review" as part of my search keywords. There are a number of shopping assistants that I frequent such as mysimon.com, shopping.com, bottomdollar.com and others. Those sites allow me to see who's got the product and the pricing (usually with shipping costs). I've gotten many bargains online including a $200 pair of new drunk n munky jeans for $10, an ipod touchscreen clone for $28, and an awesome canvas replica of a Maxfield Parrish painting for $40 that usually runs a few hundred. I find that shopping by value instead of price helps me keep my purchases in check. I steer clear of impulse shopping for the most part. For example I will check out books and audios from the library before I go buying something and then I'll shop around for the titles. The internet isn't the only way to buy things so I compare prices and value between online and offline stores. I keep a list of things to look for at thrift stores because I've gotten great deals without paying shipping ... a $2 pair of Nike gym shorts in A1 shape, books for under $1, and a digital camera for $10. It's true that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I do most of my shopping online, groceries, gifts, clothing etc I always use a cashback website and use a discount voucher. I find it a lot cheaper online for the exception of a few things. I buy my fruit and veg from our local market because it is alot cheaper and better

3 Shopping Tips To Save Money
Here are my money saving tips when shopping:
1. You can save a lot of money when you plan your shopping. Always make a list. Keep it in the kitchen and add to it as needed. Don’t shop often. Do at least one week's shopping with each visit. In the store, don't buy on impulse.
2. You must learn how to negotiate effectively in order to get discounts so that you can reduce your expenses and increase your savings at the same time.
3. Pay it in cash! Cutting on your credit cards will save you a lot of money. Even if you are getting the best credit card rewards around, if you are paying interest each month, you are losing money.
The Save More Money Template that I discovered in the Money Skills For Life website will help you achieve your goal.

Well, if you do a lot of online shopping like me, i know of a browser add-on that helps me find coupons and deals without having to make any effort...
I hate browser add-ons as much as the next person, but this one is super convenient. o they also offer cashback which is neat.
Download Bazabar and get all the deals plus cash back from Bazando!
