I live in a tropical country and staying cool here is a breeze. You can always:

    1) hang out at the mall
    2) watch movies
    3) hang out at a coffee shop and treat yourself a frapuccino while surfing the net
    4) treat yourself a fruit shake
    5) go to a museum and learn at the same time
    6) go to a beach and feel the breeze and relax
    7) wear clothes that are light in weight - shorts/sleeveless/flip flops
    8) always have a bottled water handy - you don't wanna be dehydrated!
    9) treat yourself some ice cream
    10) don't move too much during hot, sunny weather

    Cheers!

I live in an upstairs apartment that unfortunately has the song beaming in all day long. With less space to cool, I don't think it's worth it for me to drive else where to cool off. But good ideas for those with larger homes.

I sometimes use an ice pack to keep cool.

Go to near pools or beaches, or spend some time under the shade of tree. You can also might want to create some customize hand help fan.

Something inexpensive that you can make a day trip out of like going to a museum is my #1 choice.
