      suggestions?

thanks for the advice! I am 15 and have never gotten gel nor acrylic nails but most of my friends get them constantly! I don't have a job so i was thinking about maybe buying nails from the drugstore. Which are the best drug store nails that LAST more than a couple of days and that are in expensive?
      thank you

        DIY Nails

I've never tried the ones that I put on for myself, but I do a french manicure with my natural nails every week. I found a product at Sephora (and then a cheaper one at the drug store) that is like a pen for doing the tips. Then I use my own light colored polish and top coat. It lasts all week for my fingernails and about 2 weeks on my toes. And the bonus is that it actually looks good (something I could never make happen with a regular brush-on polish for the tips).

          nails

My wife does her own at home. She is very frugal and would never pay. I do, however, like to get her gift cards for the spa every few months. She works hard and enjoys the pampering every now and then.

Another idea is a DIY french pedicure: just swipe a slightly off white or white frost color across the tip and do a bigger section than you would think would look natural. Finish with clear nail polish and add a small flower on each big toe. Use the same off white/frost nail polish and make 5 small lines in a star shape, leaving a space in the center. Add 1 drop of another color (brighter colors like orange look great) in the center. Let it dry a bit before sealing it off with another clear coat. I did this a month ago, trimming my toe nails once and it has lasted!!

How do they hold up under regular household use? My concern is that water and windex used to break the adhesive down QUICK!

              Any ideas?

Thanks god I don't have this problem. I have my trusty clipper since high school. The Japanese can make some bad ass tools.
