Snooki was recently paid more than a Nobel Laureate to speak at Rutgers University. At the surface this seems absurd, but as the article explains, maybe she was worth it.

The article argued that she was worth it because of all of the publicity it brought. I don't think the saying "all publicity is good publicity" holds true for universities, but I could be wrong.Comment
