  • Yahoo Adds Personal Finance Section

Yahoo has introduced a new personal finance section to their popular finances portal. The new section contains nine sections: banking & budgeting, career & work, college & education, family & home, insurance, loans, real estate, retirement and taxes. The site also includes tools such as calculators, a glossary, rates and how-to guides.

Content for the section is provided by twenty-five content providers ranging from Consumer Reports to The Wall Street Journal. Most of the aggregated content from these sites consists of advice columns, expert opinions, articles and how-to guides.

The area also contains a stock portfolio tracking tool that can be used to track your current holdings or store a history of sales and purchases. After setting up the portfolio, relevant articles based on the companies you have will be aggregated from across the Internet.
