We are going to Costa Rica this summer for about 10 days. So I need some advice/tips:
1) Should we be carrying lots of $$, or strictly use of credit card, or a combination of some cash and credit card? I don't mind carrying some cash with us for the convenience of immediate accessibility like groceries and local spending. But we are wary of being rob, or luggage stolen somehow. What would you prefer?
2) I love to drive. For those who have been to Costa Rica, it is better to drive or take the local bus, taxi/uber instead? We might do some sightseeing, we might not. We will be staying in a beach front property. I don't know if renting a car is worth it, or not?
Note: From the airport to the beach is about 4 hours drive. We are thinking maybe driving might be the better option. But then my wife, feels we should just stay local and not drive around.
