I see - I have to confess I get that too, but don't always look at it. Maybe I should pay more attention.

Paid off my toyota sienna $8000! We are finally free of car loans first time in 10 years. OMG. Typing that makes me mad. I'm done. I need to drive our cars another 5-10 years to make up for it. I can't keep thinking sure it's only a low interest rate. I hate it. I hate the fact we dragged on buying our cars.

2017-2020 toyota sienna - just paid

This is it. We are done. I am keeping my minivan now typing those loans. I will feel so much better the longer i keep it. I didn't have a car loan 2000-2012. DH has had one for years. Those loans are all for cars he drove. I've had 2 cars a corolla and sienna.

God we've had a decade worth of car loans I'm so upset looking back on it.

That's great. Now just keep putting that money aside every month so that when you're ready for the next car purchase you've got the cash on hand to just write a check.

Um, can you say more about this? That sounds like a sweet profit.

The new xbox went on pre sale today. Was difficult to get some...they're of course all sold out now. The X series cost $530 after tax and the S series was around $320 after tax. X should be able to sell for $800 and the S should be able to sell for $500. May be closer to $450 after they're flipped it seems.

PS5 went on pre sale the other day but I didnt even try to snag any. I should have...sigh.

Well I've got a bumper crop of great big Halloween pumpkins to pick next week. Planted approx (120) hills, three seeds each and have hundreds of great big pumpkins.
Going to give them to my grandkids and all of our friends kids and grandkids, and will be taking a big wagon load to a business I'm still affiliated with to let all of the employees take a few for their kids and grand kids.
That should get rid of most of them.

It's not a financial win at all, as it cost me a fair amount of effort and a few dollars to grow them, but I like looking at that big patch of pumpkins and get a kick out of giving them to kids, so that is a win in my book.

Back in mid-August, I mailed off the renewal for my car registration. Thanks to COVID delays, the DMV still hadn't processed it by the time I went to buy my new car on 9/11. So I had to pay the registration fee again - $46.50 - because they couldn't transfer the tags with the current registration expired. I figured I'd never see the initial payment again but today's mail brought an envelope from DMV. Sure enough, it was my original check returned with a note that the registration had already been renewed. It's nice to know that there are some competent folks processing this stuff.

In addition to the $300 credit card bonus I got back in September, DH just got one for $150. That's it for bonuses for the year - not a lot because DH hasn't been travelling as much due to the pandemic.

Also, I finished laying in my "winter supplies during the pandemic" for me and my extended family, and got my flu shot today. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a plexiglass barrier installed between the front and back seats of my car, but other than that I feel as ready as I'm going to be.

Thanks James. In 2000 paid $60,000 for the 1 bedroom condo in Hawaii.
